Job Description

Located in Old Town Leander just minutes north of Austin, CMP Management is the leading provider of association management services for chapters of professional societies. We provide services to support the daily operations of multiple professional societies and trade associations. Position Description


The Association Executive functionally oversees and coordinates overall client association activities to ensure successful operations within the organization's scope and budget. Responsibilities include facilitating board meetings, operations management, financial leadership & budget development, publication development and oversight, marketing and digital content management (both traditional and social media activities), as well as other day-to-day operations for the association. This position works closely with all CMP departments including customer care, finance, marketing, and events. The position also requires travel to support board meetings and attend association events.


Position Requirements

  • Ability to present ideas effectively to management, boards and committees.
  • Ability to effectively establish budgets and manage expenses.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends required.
  • Ability to travel is required.
  • Goal oriented and strives to learn and grow on a daily basis.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Slack, and other tools needed to support association operations).
  • Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication when dealing with other organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM/AMS software systems and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently in changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.
  • Five plus years customer service experience.
  • Ability to adapt/respond to various customer personas.

Education
