Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills and should possess understanding of core discipline.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her field.
- Learn and understand new experimental techniques.
- Impact projects predominantly through lab and/or pilot plant-based activities.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.
- Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations.
- Perform routine tasks competently and independently, and generate reliable and consistent results.
- Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
- Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature.
- Demonstrate skill in multiple techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research or development sciences.
Qualifications:
- Listens to and understands others’ points of view and articulates tactfully and respectfully one’s own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or closely related discipline is desired or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence. No experience is required.
- Writing: communicating effectively in writing.
- Critical Thinking: use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding, or skill and willingly absorb and comprehend AbbVie processes, policies, and methods. Possess good human relations skills in both implementing and coordinating efforts involved across several disciplines.
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and comply with deadlines.
