Job Description
As the Marketing Associate for La Mer and Le Labo Travel Retail Worldwide, you will be responsible for supporting the La Mer Marketing Executive Director and Le Labo Marketing Director for the development and execution of marketing strategies and initiatives to achieve market share growth in Travel Retail Worldwide. You will manage the Promotional and operational strategy and go-to-market promotional plan across all Travel Retail regions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support the launch of new products, development of the go-to-market plan, and review launch performance. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the beauty industry. #ELCTravelRetail
Accountabilities
Strategy
  • Support team to drive basic business and newness while ensuring relevance in travel corridors
  • Work on cross-branded projects
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive analyses that result in key commercial insights and initiatives
  • Reports to Executive Director Marketing, La Mer and dotted line to Marketing Director, Le Labo
La Mer
Operations
  • Manage master assortment and SKU activity with Regional Teams and Lachen
  • Manage Assortment operations including Z006, Newness Master Data, Pricing, Country of Origins seasonally.
  • Prepare and issue forecast proposals for all new launches/events
  • Responsible for the tracking of shipments of all new and limited life products from plant to Lachen (distribution center) using the seasonal recap and allocation documents
  • Work closely with global business planning team and Lachen Distribution Center to ensure new programs are forecasted, received and shipping to plan.
  • Manage PO process
  • Manage Supply Restriction and Event Recap files in coordination with Marketing Manager
  • Responsible for maintaining product and competitive closet for Skincare. Includes ordering all newness, tracking all competitive products and ensuring gift items are always available for VIPs, retailer meetings
  • Issue all TREX kick off forms to support TREX management.
Commercial Development
  • Support aspects of new product launch activity including, but not limited to forecasts, creative, merchandising, promotional and saleable elements with the relevant support teams
  • Manage and track all Creative requests (CRQ’s), working closely with brand, to help support regional requests, including in-flight visuals/copy, special events, etc.
  • Responsible for the preparation of marketing presentations for sales meetings and retailer presentations including the coordination of all Marketing-related support materials (e.g., product, comps, lab samples, visual concepts, etc.)
Category Management / Business Analysis
  • Maintain and issue seasonal assortments, making recommendations for product status changes. Responsible for managing sku count and Magic Quadrant analysis
  • Prepare performance recap of each new launch activity including promotional programming.
  • Stay up to date on new social and digital tools and competitive best practices to ensure brand relevance
  • Prepare competitive analysis, liaising with global marketing, and creative teams to ensure seasonal objectives are met.
Le Labo
Operations
  • Responsible for supporting non-saleable and VM process/maintenance and liaising with Lachen and Regional Marketing teams regarding all Non-Saleable inquiries
  • Manage Assortment operations including Z006, Newness Master Data, Pricing, Country of Origins seasonally.
  • Prepare and issue forecast proposals for all new launches/events
  • Manage PO process
  • Responsible for maintaining product and competitive closet for Fragrance. Includes ordering all newness, tracking all competitive products and ensuring gift items are always available for VIPs, retailer meetings
  • Work closely with global business planning team and Lachen Distribution Center to ensure new programs are forecasted, received and shipping to plan (non-saleable)
  • Responsible for the tracking of shipments of all new and limited life products from plant to Lachen (distribution center) using the seasonal recap and allocation documents
Commercial Development
  • Act as a liaison between Global Operations and regional teams to facilitate collateral ordering and allocation for all new door openings.
  • Ensure timely completion of new door recaps by regional teams and update the distribution file accordingly.
  • Support aspects of new product launch activity including, but not limited to forecasts, creative, merchandising, promotional and saleable elements with the relevant support teams
  • Manage and track all Creative/Wrike requests, working closely with brand, to help support regional requests, including in-store placements, visuals/copy, press & creator events, etc.
Category Management / Business Analysis
  • Stay up to date on competitive best practices to ensure brand relevance
  • Maintain and issue seasonal assortments, making recommendations for product status changes
  • Prepare competitive analysis and performance recap of each new launch activity, including analysis of new markets
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • Candidate should have a passion for the beauty industry
  • Candidate should be independent, well organized, a team player, and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills required, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • 2-3 years experience
  • Possess superior communication skills and be a creative thinker
  • Pop culture savvy to identify trends and key influencers
  • International exposure a plus.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,500 to $90,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
