Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Position can be remote/virtual within New York State
Receives service requests via phone, fax, email, postal mail or other correspondence from providers, facilities, enrollees or enrollee representatives. Reviews and interprets authorization requirements based on MVP contracts, riders, processes, resources, policies and procedures. Data entry of service requests into the medical management system for clinical review. Makes outgoing calls to providers with determinations or request additional information. Addresses the Associate, Intake Assistant duties as needed per resource balancing, Performs other duties as specified by Leader, Intake.

Minimum Education
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One to two years relevant experience in insurance, medical or healthcare field
- One to two years customer service experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology including ICD, CPT, HCPC and Revenue code sets
- Must be well organized with exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments
- Ability to use rational thinking for process efficiency
- Intermediate computer/keyboarding skills
- Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information and knowledge of HIPAA laws
- Ability to efficiently do repetitive work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Beginner Microsoft Outlook and Word
