SUMMARY:
We are seeking for a results-oriented Associate HRBP to work with Rakuten Americas HRBPs/Sr. HRBPs to support our business. As a member of our HRBP team, not only will you provide guidance to your client groups, but you will have the opportunity to build processes from scratch and directly help our teams develop and scale. This role requires someone who can succeed in a challenging and fast-paced environment and work very well with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a growing organization to cultivate an amazing and innovative culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gain credibility by building collaborative relationships with the BU managers and others in the HR team
  • Work on a variety of HR projects and programs to set the HRBP team for success
  • Support HRBPs in annual calibration, merit, and equity planning process for various client groups
  • Support HRBPs in executing initiatives aimed at improving the organizational health and development for specific business units
  • Manage the employee on-boarding and off-boarding process by conducting 30-60-90 days new hire check-ins, exit interviews, and launching the exit process
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and our Talent Acquisition Team to support the hiring process
  • Assist employees and managers through HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Thoughtfully engage with employees on general queries about compensation, career frameworks, internal mobility, and real-life scenarios in need of coaching
  • Develop HR metrics and dashboard to generate valuable data insights forbusiness to identify trends as it relates to employee headcount, employeeturnover, hiring etc.
  • Work closely with people managers to improve leadership capabilities, team performance, recognition, and overall engagement
  • Support HR alignment by collaborating with HRBPs and HR COE’s across the business to drive consistent execution of HR services
REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Good understanding of Employee Relations and US employment laws
  • Brings an independent and objective perspective
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with a global team
  • Demonstrated ability to influence people managers and gain commitment for new ideas
  • Proven track record of driving for results and successfully completing complex projects
  • 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, organizations
  • Prior experience partnering with COE’s
  • Workday experience will be a plus
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills
  • A track record for navigating ambiguous situations and facilitating change.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $58,200-$100,000. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
