Summary


The Associate Director of Professional Readiness will oversee, plan, and implement division-wide experiential learning initiatives in the Undergraduate Division at The Wharton School. The Associate Director oversees the development and delivery of career readiness, community, and global programs. This position supports student success by strategically expanding experiential learning for all Wharton undergraduate students.



Job Responsibilities


The Associate Director manages and assesses programs and initiatives as related to experiential learning and requires a deep understanding of career development, employer trends/expectations, and community and global engagements. This position directly mentors individual students and Wharton-affiliated student organizations in preparing for, engaging in, and reflecting on experiential engagements within career, community, and global immersions. This position is highly collaborative, serving as a connecting point between employers, students, and staff and reports to the senior director of experiential learning.


Qualifications


Masters degree in higher education or related field and 3-5 years experience in a student-facing role (academic advising, career coaching) in higher education setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing programs that achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and liaise with faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Understanding of best practices related to career readiness, student organizations, and community engagement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the work.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop a long-term vision for career readiness for the undergraduate division at The Wharton School.
