Wilmington College, an NCAA Division III four-year private institution in Wilmington, Ohio, invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Athletic Director. This is a full-time (12 month) position with excellent benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director of Athletics, the successful candidate is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Athletics with the development, leadership, and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III Athletic Department. Duties include but are not limited to; monitoring daily expenses and maintaining up-to-date, accurate records relative to all budget matters; hiring, supervising and directing athletic office student workers; coordinating athletics team travel with head coaches; assisting with athletic department recruiting efforts where appropriate; assisting with facility management; serving as the athletic department office manager; assisting with contest management; providing a superior level of customer service; assisting Compliance Coordinator with NCAA eligibility and compliance; assisting with the coordination of athletic department events; serve on the athletic department leadership team; represent the college at Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and NCAA Meetings, participate in athletic department fundraising and development activities and function, and perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Athletics.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is required. Experience in intercollegiate athletics or related field in a postsecondary institutional setting; excellent organizational, time management and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment; ability to analyze situations and develop solutions; ability to travel and work non-traditional hours; ability to foster positive internal and external relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree is preferred, but not required. Administrative or coaching experience at the collegiate level; knowledge and demonstrated experience with NCAA and Ohio Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
