Salary Range:

$23.13 to $30.99 Hourly

DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to supervise all aspects of a before and after school program or preschool program for children in grades Pre K – 8th grade. Common duties include compliance with the Department of Health Services, the Department of Economic Security, staff supervision, planning and special events. This position will work closely with a COT Supervisor as well as school administration and community members. This position will also work all-day fall, winter and spring break and summer camp programs.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience:

Requires two (2) years recreation programming, elementary educational enrichment

programming or early childhood education. Facility management experience is preferred.


Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.


Education:

Requires the equivalent to the completion of an Associate’s of Arts degree in recreation

administration, elementary education or degree related to the core functions of this position.
The term “equivalent” means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal time increments for college-level education, for example: one year of additional directly related work experience will substitute for one year of college education (30 credit hours).


Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:

  • Possession of, or required to obtain, an appropriate CPR/AED and 1st Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Possession of the appropriate credentials and qualifications to qualify for Site Director as required by the Arizona Department of Health Services Office of Child Care Licensing.
