Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Leader for our Administrative Offices, who is innovative, driven, and passionate about serving our community.


This is a Part-Time, Non-Benefited position working 20 hours per week in a hybrid environment.

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Recreation Leader. The Recreation Leader – Admin Office will possess outstanding interpersonal, communication, and technology skills – will be outgoing, self-directed, team-oriented, and comfortable with technology, and MS Office software. They will be skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and changing priorities; able to remain positive and productive when faced with tight deadlines and the pressure of a heavy workload. They will possess the ability to handle confidential information and work with a variety of internal and external customers in a professional manner.


Additional Responsibilities Will Include (but Not Limited To)


  • Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Generates a variety of routine and non-routine documents, which may include: reports, flyers and/ or marketing materials, templates, surveys, letters, memos, notices, forms, agendas, schedules, and/or other related materials. Assists in preparing and putting together manuals and other resource documents. Issues, receives and types various applications, reimbursements, permits and forms.
  • Flexible availability to work days and evenings Monday – Sunday (Approximately 20 hours weekly)
  • Age requirement: Must be 18+ years
  • Be able to work minimal to no supervision, respond to emergency situations and be astute in conflict resolution skills
  • Assists with special assignments, projects, meetings, and/or events through coordination and administration. Provides administrative training to staff as needed.

  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Four (4) years of experience with comparable previous positions
  • Valid Arizona Driver License
  • This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt -eligible for overtime compensation.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., Associates Degree preferred
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal, communication, and technology skills
