Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Quality Manager. This position is within the food manufacturing industry, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, quality assurance, and leadership. Requirements


  • Proven experience in developing and leading hourly technicians and supervisory-level employees.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of food safety principles, HACCP, SSOPs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a 24-hour, 2-shift plant environment and handle calls after hours.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and operations, to ensure seamless integration of quality processes throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP, SSOPs, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and consistency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and implement preventive measures to enhance product quality.
  • Support the training and development of hourly technicians and supervisory-level employees in quality control practices.
