What you will be doing:


  • The Sr Quality Control Manager will lead the quality team. They will proactively work with the supply base to increase supplier reliability and quality effectiveness. They will monitor all issues regarding the quality of the products to ensure all issues are addressed until closure and containment is present for all suspect parts. They will monitor corrective action responses and ensure the customers and suppliers are monitored until they are stable with quality production. They will make sure to collaborate with Production quality, production, and other departments to ensure all parties are updated on quality concerns. This position will focus on managing and directing the quality and supplier quality teams to ensure improvement and make sure the quality is stable.


What you'll need to be successful:


Essential:


Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed)


  • Ensure proactive management by the Quality Team and validation of the following collected by the Quality Team
  • Provide guidance to all Mando personnel in the area of quality
  • Providing the proper coaching and training to the Quality staff
  • In-depth knowledge of PPAP/PFMEA/Control Plan documentation
  • Validation of corrective and preventative actions through both documentation and onsite evaluation
  • Ensure the Quality engineers are responding to and following up on Quality Issues
  • Adherence to Company Quality policies
- Score Card (Client, PPM, Delivery compliance, etc.) - Attendance in the daily quality market to verify defective parts and proper registration in ERP system
  • Support efforts to use inspection data for process improvement.
  • Physical count versus ERP system
  • Inventory control of non-conforming parts
  • Completion of PPAP/ISIR according to plan for supplier 4M/EO.
  • Work closely with Supplier Quality Manager and other Dept. to support plant requirements
  • Responsible for proper quality documentation according to customer or internal auditing.
  • EO Change Management (Review and approve PPAP, Follow up with related department's requirements)
  • Insure Supplier PPM collection and distribution to the suppliers.
  • Customer and Supplier Process Audit / request and review periodic inspection report and samples
  • Reporting and follow up on OEM and Warranty Issue
  • IATF 16949 audit preparation (non-conforming procedure by GBPMS)
  • Reporting of issues both internally HQ
  • Review and approve supplier's 4M request. (Mass production 4M change support)
  • Quality Process management through
  • Build and Maintain the Process Control Plan Audit (PCPA) for suppliers to ensure the proper quality level.


Qualifications:


  • Proficient in computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point, e-mail, etc.)
  • Reading comprehension and math / analytical skills are a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Production Quality or Supplier Quality
  • 4-year technical degree (mechanical or industrial or related quality engineering) preferred and/or relevant job experience
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality requirements and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products.
  • Knowledge of APQP
Technical Competencies:


  • Environmental standards , IATF 16949 and ISO 14000
  • Knowledge of Auto parts quality control system (6 sigma, SPC, Gauge R&R )
  • Knowledge and lead IATF quality system requirements
  • Demonstrated application of engineering skills and problem-solving techniques within the manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Parts drawing analysis or GD&T
