Position Overview:

The Assistant Production Manager/Fulfillment Person plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and efficient fulfillment processes within a production environment. This position requires a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can effectively manage tasks related to production planning, inventory management, and order fulfillment. The Assistant Production Manager/Fulfillment Person will work closely with the production team and various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning: Collaborate with the production manager to develop and execute production plans, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, timely delivery of products, and adherence to quality standards.
2. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and components for production. Maintain accurate records of inventory and perform regular stock audits.
3. Order Fulfillment: Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accurate order entry and timely fulfillment. Coordinate with internal teams, such as manufacturing, packaging, and shipping, to ensure orders are fulfilled according to customer requirements.
4. Quality Control: Assist in implementing quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify any deviations or issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including production reports, inventory logs, and order tracking. Generate regular reports on production metrics, inventory levels, and order fulfillment status for management review.
6. Communication and Coordination: Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. Communicate any production delays, inventory shortages, or quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance fulfillment processes. Propose and implement process enhancements and automation solutions to optimize productivity and streamline operations.
8. Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety awareness and actively participate in safety training programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficient in using production planning software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production and fulfillment challenges.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
• Proven experience in a production or fulfillment role, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or e-commerce environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
