Summary


Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach and Spa is a large complex of 1230 rooms and currently looking for an Operations Manager - Food & Beverage to join our F&B team. This role will have oversight of the Restaurant Outlets, Regency Club and Banquets. Additional responsibilities may include training, staff development, scheduling as well as coordinating special events. The Assistant 0perations Manager - Food & Beverage will promote an atmosphere that engages colleagues, ensures guest satisfaction, and upholds Hyatt's values. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively and interact with guest, other departments, and team members. Qualifications


  • Candidates should have refined verbal and written communication skills and possess a true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Requires full flexibility and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and a varied schedule.
  • Candidates should be extremely detailed-oriented and organized, possess strong problem-solving and time managemet skills, and demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with guests.
  • Must be proficient in in general computer knowledge, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of progressive management experience, hotel Food & Beverage Management experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Previous experience with hotel and management systems; Opera, HotSOS, Kronos, Micros , etc. an asset.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
  • Previous experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements preferred
