Assistant General Manager Jobs

The Assistant General Manager will play an active role in supporting daily service center operations. This individual will support the General Manager and be accountable for safety, quality, and produce bottom-line results.

Job Responsibilities

• Looking for ways to continuously improve processes to ensure an on-time, quality product and implement improvement plans where appropriate.
• Leading quality programs and processes; ensuring compliance with Food Safety and environmental health & safety standards.
• Facilitating daily production with the flexibility to meet volumes and customer demand.
• Developing or revising standard operational working practices.
• Working closely with Supply Chain Planners to ensure alignment of procured materials and service center production plans.
• Assisting with physical inventory counts.
• Coaching, training, mentoring employees on the safe and efficient method of operating service center equipment.
• Working with the General Manager in monitoring and controlling costs of operation in alignment with the budget.
• Implementing measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant business/technical field preferred
• Superior organizational skills along with accuracy and attention to detail
• Team player who works productively with a wide range of people and demonstrates leadership potential
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inventory/warehouse management software, MAS knowledge preferred
• Minimum 5+ years related operations experience
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, change-focused environment
• Demonstrated high integrity and ethical standards
• Ability to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, etc.)
• Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and negotiation skills
• Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
• Judgment and decision-making ability
• Ability to provide summary and analysis of department spending
• Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
