Job description

  • Improve and restore customer confidence.
  • Support and maintain Stuart’s safety 1st culture.
  • Demonstrate and support Daher’s Leadership Principles – The Focus on Results, Initiative and Responsibly, The best Interests of the Company, Collective Teamwork, Participatory Decision Making, Explicit Operation Goals and Rules, Taking Our Shareholders into Consideration.
  • Lead evolving and expanding training programs.
  • Leverage lean and Continuous Improvement principles to expand the sites production footprint and capabilities.


Job Duties

  • Works with Human Resources to enhance training, hiring and employee development needs for the operation areas.
  • Acts as an advisor to subordinates supervisors or staff members to meet production schedule, cost and quality goals.
  • Manages rework and assures compliance with customer and FAA quality standards.
  • Must be able to travel in the US and abroad (Mexico, Europe), 5%
  • Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives within Operations that are required to meet production schedules and financial performance targets.
  • Closely monitors progress of work for adherence to schedules and good workmanship.
  • Oversees multiple direct reports.
  • Works through subordinate managers, supervisors and support staff to resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Provides immediate status to Director of Operations on production problems that impact schedule adherence.
  • Adjusts work assignments to accommodate production flow.
  • Manages operation of full-scale aerospace production system, including industrial transfer.
  • Assures effective utilization of tools, materials, facilities, and personnel for the Components, Subassembly, Assembly, and/or Completions areas.
  • Works closely with EHS Manager to promote, develop, and improve safety programs and performance across the operation.

Qualifications

  • Aerospace manufacturing or engineering experience preferred; experience managing relationships with major airframers a plus.
  • English language proficiency – reading and writing.
  • Proficient operational and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of production operations, program management, budgeting, scheduling and quality control standards, as well as strong business acumen.
  • Ability to make projections three years into the future.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or closely related field required; MBA a plus.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Budgeting experience and demonstrated success in managing overall performance of a manufacturing organization.
  • Strong ethical leadership abilities.
  • 10+ years manufacturing, operations or related experience required; 4-tier organization experience a plus.
