Job Description

SUMMARY:

Manage customer relationship, communicating with customers to ensure that all their needs are understood and addressed while providing best in class service and the highest level of safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track loads, report and work any service issues with Planning or Fleet Management teams
  • Understand customer procedures with haz-mat, weight restrictions, claims, cargo, and security
  • Ensure that all utilization and safety needs are met
  • Be an advocate for your customer and their success within Dart
  • Proactively support the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Schedule appointments to ensure utilization of driver’s time and meeting customer service commitments, while ensuring appointments are updated with accurate times, pickup and delivery numbers
  • Build relationships with customers, to better understand their commitments and needs
  • Ensure network is up to date for any changes in freight flow
  • Ensure drivers have all the information needed to be successful
  • Communicate timely and provide detailed updates to your customers
  • Manage customer freight commitments, understand network balance and communicate any impacts to balance
  • Collaborate with other departments within the network to provide solutions to customers, freight coverage and service
  • Ensure loads are booked and drivers meet HOS requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of, and proficiency with internal computer systems and programs, including but not limited to transportation management systems, spreadsheets, word documents, etc
  • 4-year College Degree and/or previous transportation experience preferred
  • The ability to multi-task, work in a fast pace environment, be detail oriented with strong written and oral skills while maintaining effective communication
  • Duties- High Performance
