Ascend is the leading provider of retail management systems and services to independent cycling retailers around the world.
At Ascend,

As the Ascend Sales and Business Consultant, your primary role is to sell and educate new and existing retailers on our POS software, hardware, inventory, training, networking and bookkeeping services. At Ascend, every team member is in the business of supporting, installing, and selling all our services and hardware. You will be called on and expected to help in all areas of our business.
Position Responsibilities, Skills, Knowledge
Sell our Services, Software and Hardware to New and Existing Customers:
  • Announce signing of all new customers to the Ascend Team.
  • Process charges for all completed sales and annual support fees
  • Hit quarterly and annual budgeted sales goals
  • Schedule all new customer installations with the Installation Team
  • Process wholesale invoices and place orders for all hardware sales.
  • Conduct product demos to sales prospects and supply price quotes in a timely manner
  • Consistently follow-up, address objections, and close sales
  • Gather sales prospects through all available channels (Territory Managers, Financial Services, cold calling, support team, etc)
  • Track progress of all sales leads in CRM system.
  • Travel regularly to assist with installations, sales calls, inventory, trainings, support, as needed
  • Get signed agreements for all new customer sales.
Educate and grow retailers through Ascend optimization and RPM:
  • Support and lead Win the Season Events
  • Guide retailers to utilize all the features of our solutions to help operate their business.
  • Coach retailers to understand the Retail Profit Machine (RPM) metrics to power their business and maximize their profitability.
Help Teammates:
  • Assist with the installation of Ascend for new customers. Travel on-site with Install Technicians as needed.
  • Complete and document support requests
  • Help maintain our reference documentation and our customer master database.
  • Assist with logging and prioritization of bugs and enhancements. Provide feedback as requested on development specifications. Help test new releases as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of Retail Management Systems
  • Ideal candidates should have sales and customer service experience, basic PC and networking aptitude and experience working in a cycling retail environment.
  • A two year associates degree or higher is desired. Other relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Candidates must be dynamic and high energy, with a passion for providing incredible hospitality.
  • Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of the Bicycle Industry
