Area Sales Manager

Atlanta, GA

Direct Hire


The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for business development and sales support within the assigned territory. The Area Sales Manager must be comfortable with traveling 70% of the time.


Area Sales Manager Responsibilities-

  • Monitor and direct territory sales performance.
  • Prepare and send submittal quote package to Distributors or Direct Buy for project in bidding.
  • Attend and set-up tradeshows.
  • Analyze and communicate customer/client requirements to Depts. as appropriate.
  • Establish specifications for Products through Architects/Engineers, Design/Build Firms etc.
  • Provide Marketing Department with photos & project worksheet for promotional purposes.
  • Assist with customer problem resolution.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify, track, manage and close major projects within region, utilizing Sales Management software.


Area Sales Manager Qualifications-

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • 3+ years industry experience, including specifying engineered products, technical field promotion or water regulatory involvement preferred.
  • 70 % - Travel daily (day trips) by car combined with some overnight travel (by plane) when necessary.
  • Efficient at interpreting Civil, landscape architecture, plumbing, and architectural drawings. Training can be provided.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
  • Ability to understand the engineer of record, owners and contractor's needs; as well as guide them to the appropriate solution for each water management project.
  • Ability to communicate technical information, concepts and applications effectively using consultative selling skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office,CRM
