Job Description

Summary

Join us for an incredible opportunity to assist in leading our Collection Events team as our Area Associate Director of Events at the Hyatt Regency Seattle! Our Area Associate Director of Events will support “A Seattle Collection”, a multi-property cluster comprised of Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8 and Hyatt Regency Seattle.

The Area Associate Director of Events supports the hiring, training, management and coaching efforts of the Event Planning & Event Sales managers. The primary responsibility is to service group business. This position reports to the Area Director of Events and works alongside the other Area Associate Director of Events to help lead this Collection team. This person is assigned specific administrative responsibilities that should include supervisory duties over part of the Event department, usually Meeting Connections, Administrative Assistants or Trainees. This position will typically be required to carry and achieve a quota and service groups.

The salary range for this position is $91,200 to $136,800, with an anticipated budget allocation for this position of $105,000. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and education.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance.
  • 3 years in Hotel Event Sales and/or Event Planning
  • Geographically mobile
  • CMP Certified preferred
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
