• Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
• Review and prepare claims for submission to the appropriate portals for arbitration
• Work with external vendors such as State Department of Insurance (DOI) personnel and arbitrators to assist with issues and resolutions
• Analyze claims to determine claims eligible for Arbitration for NSA claims as well as state insurance department claims -DOI.
• Have the ability for re-prioritizing key tasks and meet with manager and director to provide updates of findings and outcomes
• Track arbitration case status and ensure all systems and records are updated
• Plan and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• CMS experience
• Paralegal background – multiple state and federal laws
• 2 years accounts receivable experience in the medical field required
• Medical A/R background

SKILLS:

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and on a team. Ability to interpret an Explanation of Benefits and take additional and necessary steps towards payment. Familiarity with Microsoft applications and database software. Strong attention to detail. Must be proficient with CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
