Arabic/Quran Teacher Jobs

Required work experience, skills and education

• Experience working with small group instruction
• Ability to work easily with staff, students and parents
• Experience working with grades 7th -9th grade (middle school/high school)
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Zoom, Google classroom, Canvas
• Able to communicate in English both verbally and through writing

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Teach Quran to students of all levels from ages 12-16 years ensuring their learning and understanding of the reading/memorization of the Quran with Tajweed

· Teach Arabic to students of all levels from ages 12-16 years ensuring their learning and understanding of the language according to Texas standards (TEKS) using the curriculum provided and additional resources making sure students read, understand, and communicate via speech and writing in the Arabic language.

· Plan and implement the curriculum. Give appropriate presentations and establish a record keeping system to track students’ progress.

· Inform the Lead classroom teacher, co-teacher of Quran/Arabic, and Administrator of any classroom difficulties, including discipline, health, equipment needs, repair and maintenance.

· Ensure respectful and open lines of communication with parents. Be available to parents through written communication, setting up conferences, and educating parents in regard to Quran/Arabic curriculum.

· Meet with the other Quran/Arabic teachers on a regular basis to discuss goals for the class and individual students.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
