Job Description
Overview
Performs analysis functions to assist in the development and implementation of new systems, the revision of existing systems, and provides project management for assigned special projects. Provides and coordinates programming resources for all applications. Develops and maintains the Electronic Data Management (EDC) System, providing application support and administration.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the technical aspects of applications, as well as the operational details and work flows within PFS.
  • Performs basic Electronic Data Capture (EDC) study build activities, including form design and edit check programming.
  • Functions as liaison with IS and maintains project tracking information.
  • Supports Investigator Initiated studies with implementation of EDC by reviewing protocols and assisting with the development of study specific forms.
  • Participates in the development and follow-up evaluation of system design and projects.
  • Provides training and assistance to team members
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Provides analysis functions in support of new or upgraded vendor, in-house computing systems and special projects.
  • Functions as the product manager for the EDC application
  • Develops knowledge of relational database design, data standards, FDA regulations (particularly 21 CFR Part 11), and clinical data management systems.
  • Assists departments in system management function. Develops a system to ensure the effective maintenance of security for all IDX dictionaries and modules critical to the mission PFS.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject matter with 5 years of relevant work experience or the equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge in data base queries and knowledge of basic programing desired
  • Organizational and leadership skills are essential.
  • Electronic forms building (example, RedCap) experience preferred
  • Project management skills and programming skills desired.
