Application Support Engineer Jobs

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or a related field, or commensurate experience in a professional environment, required.

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years - Experience in Information Technology required.
• 1 year - Knowledge of computer systems operations for Windows/AIX/Linux environments.

SKILLS

• Strong capability of scripting and automation preferably with PowerShell
• Experience with ServiceNow platform a plus
• Proven decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with Data in MSSQL databases preferred.
• Expert knowledge of application support technologies and related documentation required.
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas, problem/solution/business value descriptions that can be understood by a broad audience.
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Experience with REST API and systems integration

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Offers consultation and provides team with assistance in efforts with migrating to ServiceNow Platform.
• Works with both BCBST and implementation team in shifting current processes and integrations to ServiceNow.
• Provides top level support for any problem resolution and troubleshooting activities related to the scope of work for this position.
• Provides direction and design for the setup, configuration, integration, and implementation of major production applications into the production environment.
• Leads production support activities for all major applications and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of production applications and their production environments.
