Expected Starting Salary Range: 26.01 - 32.20
SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Analyzing, implementing and maintaining computer-based systems for the department/division and supporting organization-wide systems. Utilize technical knowledge to provide on-going support.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Customer/Vendor Relationships
Develop collaborative professional relationships with department/division, client group, vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Analysis
Respond to systems related requests from the department/division. Document issue resolution. Provide feedback to users on how to avoid consistent errors. Analyze issues and identify trends. Develop solutions for long-term resolution of issues. Work with department/division to understand reporting needs. Prepares statistical summaries and reports. Develop reports through efficient use of various tools available.
  • Technical Support
Serve as liaison between the department and Information Services. Participate in the execution of test scripts to validate systems implementations and modifications. May maintain system data and tables. May maintain department/division web site.
  • Design and Development
Consult with department/division to determine system requirements. Support technical solutions that will increase the efficiency of the department/division. Assess and understand the downstream impact of changes in technology. Communicate the impact of these changes to departmental staff. Evaluate current systems for quality/utilization. May design, writing and preparation of complete user documentation for department/division systems, including system training manuals. Provide input to or determine training needs. Assist with the development of training standards and objectives. May prepare oral and written presentations for training purposes. Assist with and conduct training as needed.
  • Project Management
Manage small to mid size projects related to department/division systems or in support of organization-wide systems projects. Develop project plan and ensure timely completion of the project as needed for department/division projects. Assist with setting project task priorities. Escalate issues to management with potential solutions. Document business processes and technical requirements. Find innovative ways to improve efficiency of department/division processes and software.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Sql demonstrated skill
Preferred:
Strong data reporting and analytical skills
2 years experience in a related field
experience with application development
Unique Skills:
Strong communication skills
