About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant.
Within the Chief Technology Office (CTO), this role is positioned as part of the Strategy, Transformation and Business Services team's Strategy Planning and Insights (SPI) organization. SPI's focus is driving high value analytics, insights, and innovation/transformation to maximize technology that delivers anytime, anywhere capabilities.
This position will be in the SPI Executive Reporting and Analytics (ERA) team whose aim is to offer capabilities and services which convey the story or targeted messaging of CTO across multiple audiences. Incorporating analytics, business intelligence tools, automation, technology and financial acumen and an understanding of the Executive mindset positions ERA to deliver compelling insights and integrated reporting in support of the Executive team. In particular, ERA manages the business review, multi-year and annual planning processes, metric collaboration, and product model relationships collectively in order to drive leadership decisions, insights and successes. The approach improves intake/prioritization consistency, automation, output (look and feel) and governance. ERA will address business needs from top-down and bottom-up and offer self-service dashboards for targeted organizational requirements with enhanced processes to create a holistic story of CTO.
In This Role, You Will
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively while meeting tight deadlines with accuracy and minimal supervision.
  • May assist in the technical build-out and support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, and dashboards that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Perform complex financial and economic analysis and model development
  • Proactively recognize opportunities for improvement and implement best practices, taking ownership of the task and following through to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage or participate on large cross group projects and mentor less experienced staff
  • Review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute primary and secondary customer market projects
  • Identify, compile and/or mine data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and developing expertise in these sources
  • Create/present Operational and Executive leadership reports driving to key insights and recommendations
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 2+ years of experience with BI tools
  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets
Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced MS Excel and experience with the MS suite of products
  • Act in the capacity of a subject matter expert
  • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and turn findings into action
  • Knowledge and understanding of data integrity management practices and procedures
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability
  • Agile experience
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of transforming complex data and analyses into easily digestible and visually accessible dashboards and reports using presentation skills and/or business intelligence tools
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
