We need an analytical-minded Analyst to join our Insights & Analytics organization, specifically the Performance Management team. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:
The Analyst (Transportation Insights & Analytics – Performance Management) is responsible for providing valuable insights and creating and analyzing End to End Transportation Data within the North America (NA) geo. This includes creating metrics, dashboards/visuals, and data products to sustainably educate and enable our business partners to make data-based decisions. This role is essential to ensuring that North America Transportation uses analytics to optimize marketplace service and efficiency and supports the Digital First Supply Chain strategy.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:
The Analyst partners closely with other NA Trade & Transportation (T&T) teams to provide access to key operational metrics, supports sourcing events, and works closely with T&T capability development organization and cross-functional peers to ensure new capabilities align to Nike’s core values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with strengthening Nike T&T’s Performance Management Strategy allowing full visibility to our core metrics
  • Create reporting and insights at scale that informs and influences business decisions
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic top-to-top discussions with both key internal and external partners (e.g strategic customers, carriers/vendors, and internal leadership)
  • Provide detailed cost metrics to ensure we’re using the right carrier in the right locations within our transportation network
  • Complete analysis of financial and operational performance data (e.g. cost, service, speed) to identify key insights and opportunities to improve the end-to-end transportation network (e.g. carrier strategy, speed to market, port mixture, transportation flows, etc.)
  • Support capability development through success criteria tracking to ensure benefits are robust and mutually exclusive across business segments
  • Design, build, and apply visual tools based on partner requirements to help provide insights to our operational partners
WHAT YOU BRING: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an interest in data-focused storytelling
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint variances, and recommend solutions to avoid variances in the future
  • 2+ years of progressive analytics experience in the field of operations and logistics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
  • 2+ years of experience with common coding languages and ETL applications (i.e. SQL, Python, R, Alteryx)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of Supply Chain analytics experiences
  • Consulting or Finance experience
  • Experience building visualization in Tableau or PowerBI
