About the Role:


The Market Strategy and Research Data Analyst will conduct secondary research activities to collect data and other information related to university degree programs, trends in online education, and other related aspects of higher education. They will be responsible for the creation, evolution, and management of a relational database and associated visualization tools.


The Analyst will work in close collaboration with the head of the Market Strategy and Research Department and Senior Analysts to produce dynamic and engaging reports in support of marketing, sales, and strategic planning activities. The Analyst will also support report development, the creation of presentations, and the production of other project deliverables as requested.


How you will make an impact:


  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating findings into clearly dynamic and engaging reports.
  • Work with the wider team of analysts within the company to foster a team approach to exploiting market opportunities, problem solving and project delivery.
  • Communicate progress, key initiatives, and findings to a supervisor or lead analyst on the program.
  • Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, curriculum, methods of marketing, and other relevant information.
  • Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases on a periodic basis.
  • Conforms to sound research principles and experimental design.
  • Create and manage visualization tools.
  • Conduct internet-based, library, and database research.
  • Support goals, processes, and initiatives of the Market Strategy and Research Team as they evolve.
  • Data cleaning and mining
  • Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature and associations.
  • Support Market Strategy and Research Analysts, as requested, with a variety of research projects.


What we look for:


  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated. Must be capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or a related technical field.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (Access, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience with database management, visualization tools research, and data gathering with experience compiling data into reports and other deliverables.
  • Must be resilient and flexible, with a proven ability to deliver results within a dynamic marketplace and evolving organization
  • Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
  • Familiarity with Tableau is a plus.
  • Database management skills like SQL, R, Python, etc.
