Almond & Sheller Operator/Supervisor

Full-time, year-round Almond Huller & Sheller Operator/Supervisor needed for immediate hire. Huller/Sheller experience is preferred but not required. Mechanical skills are required. Will train the right person if they possess the required skill set, necessary learning skills, mechanical skills, and reading and writing skills. Must be able to work well in groups, well organized, detail-oriented, and good at following instructions, retaining information, and filling out paperwork. Leadership skills preferred. Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required. The position requires tending machines that remove hulls and foreign matter from almonds and observing almonds as they pass on conveyor belts from machines to ascertain that hulls are removed, etc. Fill bins or hoppers with hulled almonds with coordinating paperwork for processor pick-up. May also sack almonds for Growers and label them accordingly, lifting 50-75lbs. You must be able to climb up and down stairs and be on your feet most of the day. Must be able to operate a forklift; we will train and certify. Must be able to work from 10 to 12 hours per day, seven days a week, during Harvest. The position will be eight-hour days, five days a week off-season.
