  4. Skill Assessment: Conduct thorough skill evaluations to assess participants' competency in performing CPR and first aid techniques. Provide constructive feedback to help participants improve their skills.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of course attendance, participant evaluations, and certification paperwork. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed promptly and efficiently.
  6. Equipment Management: Oversee the proper use and maintenance of training equipment, including CPR manikins, AED trainers, and other instructional materials.
  7. Professional Development: Stay current with the latest developments in CPR and first aid practices by attending instructor updates and participating in AHA-approved continuing education courses.
  8. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Adhere to the guidelines and standards set forth by the American Heart Association for course delivery, ensuring the training meets the required quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. AHA Instructor Certification: Must possess a valid and current American Heart Association BLS and Heartsaver Instructor certification.
  2. Healthcare Background: Preferably, candidates should have a background in healthcare, such as nursing, emergency medical services, or other related fields.
  3. Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching CPR and first aid courses is highly beneficial.
  4. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively delivering course content and interacting with participants.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to connect with learners, inspire confidence, and create a positive learning environment.
  6. Organizational Skills: Capable of managing class schedules, maintaining records, and ensuring course materials are prepared and up-to-date.
  7. Flexibility: Being available for part-time work, with the ability to accommodate varied schedules, including weekends and evenings.
