JOB SUMMARY

Location: Round Rock, Texas

Shift - Day Monday-Friday 3 Weeks Virtual classroom Training and 3 Weeks Clinical on-site

The Baylor Scott and White Health Phlebotomy training program is designed to be a gateway to bring quality

Phlebotomist into the BSWH system. Individuals who successfully complete this program will have the opportunity for full-time permanent employment, however employment is not guaranteed.

The program is 6 weeks in duration with an average of 35-40 hours of training and instructions per week. The course is broken down into two parts: virtual classroom instructions and on onsite clinical experience. You must have internet and computer access.

The Phlebotomist 1 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Performs clerical duties.
• Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.
• Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.
• Demonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement.
• Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.

• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
