Job Description
Under supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Assistant is responsible for:
  • Performing other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of student information software, such as BANNER and/or a CRM like Salesforces' Target X-especially as it pertains to admissions, advisement, and registration.
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Creating Photo ID's for students; maintenance and responsibility for the oversight of the software
  • Demonstrating trustworthiness and responsible behavior

  • Operating a multi-line telephone system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum)
  • Maintaining inventory of all admissions materials.
  • Processing new student applications and related information, and preparing student files
  • Determining the nature of customer needs and providing timely and accurate information
  • High school diploma or GED *and* six (6) months of related work experience.
  • Operating effectively within the organizational structure of a fast-paced, high-volume student services area
  • Providing secretarial/clerical support, such as incidental typing and filing
  • Displaying a high level of effort and commitment to performing work
  • Associate's degree from a two-year technical or community college. Physical Demands The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight. Work is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes. Salary/Benefits Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package. Positions are contingent upon funding.
