Peachtree Orthopedics is seeking a positive, friendly, and passionate Front Desk Coordinator to join our team and play an important role in our patient's experience. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat and motivated personality while providing the highest level of patient care. As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for greeting and welcoming patients, checking patients in, and processing payments by phone or in person, along with other front desk duties. On-the-job training is provided to every employee regardless of experience level. We focus on hiring the right fit for our team because we are confident that we can train the skills.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Screens and distributes mail.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Collect on delinquent accounts and past due self-pay balances.
  • Answers and routes incoming phone calls directed to the front desk including providing directions to any of the site locations.
  • Formulates a comprehensive relationship with the Physicians and members of the Clinical Staff.
  • Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
  • Responds to patient billing and statement inquiries via email/telephone/patient portal.
  • Check-in patients, verify patients' appointments, demographic information, insurance, and referral.
  • Logs and distributes any packages (FedEx, Courier, USPS, UPS, etc.) to the appropriate personnel including but not limited to checks and live tissue samples.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintains waiting rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Receive Point of Service payment from patients at the time of service and/or establish payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills.
  • Addresses any facility-related issue by logging it and following up with the Lead/Supervisor.
  • Schedules the appropriate follow-up for Doctor, MRI, and Physical Therapy.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality with staff.
  • Ensures facility is in working order and there are no areas that need attention.
  • Assists Clinical and Administrative personnel with daily tasks.
  • Notify patients with balance for upcoming appointments and contacts patients regarding outstanding balances.
  • Establishes and maintains payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills.


Required Education And Experience


  • Experience in a health care setting to include basic knowledge of insurance plans, coverage, and procedures preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in customer service in a high-volume atmosphere.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). An Associate degree is preferred.
