Job Description
Summary Of Position


The Admin Support facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provides other administrative support to staff as necessary and assists staff members with special projects as assigned  
  • Scans documents to create electronic files for processing and routes each time-sensitive document to appropriate entities within prescribed timeframes for compliance (i.e., paysheets, weights and inventories to carriers, base packet submissions, invoices and supporting shipment documents, etc.)  
  • Assembles and submits document packets required for dispatch, billing, and compliance purposes  
  • Researches and responds to various verbal/written inquiries and requests for information via phone, fax, e-mail, etc.  
  • Appropriately files various shipment documents in a timely manner and maintains accurate, up-to-date, complete, and organized records in both electronic and hard-copy formats  


Requirements


  • A positive, service-oriented attitude along with excellent follow-through abilities  
  • At least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience preferred
  • An ambitious and proactive work ethic, along with an ability to meet critical time-sensitive deadlines 
  • Alphabetical filing along with exceptional organizational and investigative skills  
  • A keen attention to detail for ensuring accurate and complete records  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Data entry experience preferred
  • Capable computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Movestar and QuickBooks experience is a plus!)  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to use the internet for research
  • Foundational knowledge in Administrative Assistance
