Job Description

Job Opening Summary

The administrative assistant supports UF Health The Villages®' administration needs and is the initial contact for phone calls, patients/visitors and team members entering Administration. Supports the Administrative Director of Nursing with administrative duties and special projects. Serves as general reception for UF Health The Villages Administration. Coordinates the flow of information in and out of the office.

Job Opening Qualifications

Education
  • Post-high school special training
  • Associate's degree
  • High school diploma/GED

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
  • Must be able to do light lifting.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HBOC and internet. Minimum 60 WPM keyboarding.
  • Two to three years of secretarial experience in a secretarial position or business-related formal training.
  • Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills and verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects and be an independent thinker. Detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional and pleasant attitude at all times when dealing with board members, medical staff and the public.
