Our client, a well established company located in Wood Dale, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to help in processing and managing payments received. Providing accounting related support will be an important aspect of this temp to hire role.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Assistant:

• Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties, such as answering correspondence and writing reports
• Receive payments and post amounts paid to customer accounts
• Operate 10-key calculators and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents
• Identify and monitor overdue accounts via company systems
• Request and maintain certificates of insurance

Requirements/Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Assistant:

• 1-3 years accounts payable and general accounting experience
• Proficient in Peachtree, Word and Excel
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Customer Service, Clerical, Accounting, Mathematics
• Active Listening, Speaking, Reading Comprehension, Critical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving, Accuracy
