Accounts Payable Specialist 20-25 Hours/Week

League School of Greater Boston is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the Autism Spectrum. We are currently seeking a Part-time Accounts Payable Specialist (20-25 hours) to start immediately.Position Requirements: Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience with accounting software.Intermediate Microsoft Excel and basic Word skills.Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.Supervision Received: C.F.O.Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 1.Daily receipt of incoming mail, date stamping, scanning and directing to managers for approval.2.Review of all invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy of invoice prior to processing.3.Obtaining authorized manager approvals, review for correct GL coding and entry into the accounts payable ledger.4.Monthly review and allocation of company credit card statement with entry into accounting software.5.Maintains clean, organized and updated accounts payable files.6.Maintains vendor relationships by timely response to correspondence.7.Weekly issuance of vendor payments.8.Weekly issuance of Student Incentive checks.9.Weekly filing of paid invoices and maintenance of vendor files.10.Monthly review of all vendor statements to include reconciliation of billing issues.11.Updates and maintains IRS W-9 Taxpayer Identification Certification.12.Prepares 1099 forms at year-end by compiling the necessary payment information and completing required IRS filings.13.Provides cooperation and service to all other departments in the Organization.14.Backup to Accounts Receivable for vacation coverage.15.Assist with annual audit as needed.League School offers a part-time benefit package that includes a 403(b) retirement plan, accrued sick time, and wellness benefits such as free gym membership.Equal Opportunity EmployerLeague School of Greater Boston is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment that is free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by federal and state laws.
