Accounting Clerk

Primary Function:

• Calculates and enters all information regarding accounts payable.

Major Responsibilities:

• Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving documents and requisitions

• Enter invoices for payment

• Research vendor invoice inquiries

• Assists in answering telephone.

• Cross-trained to fill in for other accounting positions.

• Performs other duties as required.

Key Working Relationships:

• Works closely with purchasing personnel in keeping accurate account payable records.

• Reports to Finance Manager who provides general supervision and guidance.

Position Requirements:

General: Identifies with values, philosophy, and mission of Wayne Sanderson Farms. Working knowledge of computer systems. Ability to operate business machines and computer. Good communication skills.

Academic: High school diploma or equivalent experience. General business skills with some computer knowledge.

Experience: one-year experience in accounting with some knowledge of computers. Physical: Able to work in various temperatures. Able to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, twist, kneel, and lift 10 pounds or more. Able to wear all required PPE. Sitting for long periods of time, use of keyboard.
