Accounting/Data Entry Clerk

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. Keys daily worksheets to the customer relationship system, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, re handles accounts payable duties, and assists accounting personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Use proprietary software to enter data
• Support Accounting personnel and other duties as assigned
• Team player mindset. There are no boundaries to this position, other duties will be assigned as Specialist progresses in position. Cross training is mandatory
• Perform entry level functions as assigned (training provided)
• Provide clerical functions as assigned
• Mail vendor payments to verified delivery addresses
• Use Microsoft Office products as needed to successfully complete assigned duties
• Attention to detail and accuracy a MUST

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic math skills required
• Successfully work within the department, company, and with outside vendors / partners
• Some entry level Accounting experience desired but not required
• Team player, desire to grow within the company
• Data entry skills with high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• High School Diploma or GED | Some college preferred
