Accounting Manager Jobs

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Supervises cost and inventory accounting activities for Eaton Coamo, PR operations. Responsible for assuring compliance with corporate and division policies and procedures. Assists in preparing financial analysis to support the business decisions by plant management. Provides and or maintains adequate financial systems to meet the plant requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Promotes and maintains adherence to GAAP policies and corporate financial policy. Provides for the implementation of new policies where appropriate.
B. Provides and maintains systems which insure an adequate level of internal control and the accuracy of cost financial data.
C. Performs analytical reviews of the financial data. Preparation of Month End Financial Reports and Financial Package.
D. Support Financial Planning in the preparation of the cost & inventory financial information for the annual profit plan and monthly forecast.
E. Ensures the completion of all months end close activities related to cost accounting. Ensures that on a monthly basis all inventory Account reconciliations are appropriately maintained, and accruals and reserves are adequate.
F. Prepares and maintains product cost reviews.
G. Organizes and Performs (join responsibility with Supply Chain) the annual physical inventory counts.
H. Performs special Cost projects such as - make vs buy, product transfers, cost improvements. Responsible for Cost Out Database and Cost Out Project Verification.
I. Responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to the Eaton Safety and Environmental Program (MESH), complying with all the annual goals and objectives.
J. Responsible for SOX and Internal Audit, provide information and documentation to internal or external auditors as required.
K. Comply with the Eaton Business System and Leadership Model.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience is desired. Background should include work with inventory / cost

accounting systems, financial planning, budgeting and financial analysis.

• Advanced english

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• To function effectively in this position, a working knowledge of the objectives of the other functional areas (production planning, materials managements, industrial engineering, HR etc.) and how they relate to Accounting is also required.
