As the Accounting manager, you will be working side-by-side with the Controller and CFO to standardize processes to ensure appropriate and consistent financial reporting and controls across all operations. In addition to the job duties below, the Accounting Manager will manage and execute the financial close process, support the annual audit, report timely financial results and business analytics, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Accounting Functions

• Complete all required analytical reviews of the operations from a balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow perspective.
• Support the annual external financial statement audit and all ancillary audit activities (i.e. valuations)
• Complete analytical review of the operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained and reported.
• Prepare work-papers supporting forecasts and budgets as requested by the CFO
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Prepare work-papers supporting periodic federal, state, and local tax compliance activities in coordination with the external tax advisor
• Complete all covenant calculations and compliance certificates required by the Company's lenders
• Prepare periodic GAAP financial statements, financial reports, and special analyses as required by the CFO and Controller.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions, including Stripe billing and collections as well as payroll in Paylocity
• Evaluate and improve various technical accounting analyses, policies, and processes
• Hire, supervise, and develop the accounting staff in coordination with the Controller

Systems

• Deployment of a sales tax software solution integrated with Netsuite and Stripe
• Ensure that all financial record systems are maintained in accordance with GAAS
• Responsible for maintaining Netsuite, including:
• Operation of the core order-to-cash functionality
• Process improvement over Netsuite reporting and workflows
• Completion of all monthly and annual closes processes
• Integration with all relevant connected systems, including Stripe, SCN, Boomi, Salesforce.com, BILL.com, and Expensify
• Maintain overall responsibility for the Paylocity payroll function

Requirements

• Willingness to assist the team with day to activities where necessary
• Public auditor experience (required); Big 4 or Tier 2 (preferred)
• Systems experience:
• Experience in SaaS software and payments (preferred)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• CPA certification (preferred)
• System implementation experience (preferred)
• A quality approach to work, with a passion for process and controls
• A data-driven approach to problem-solving, giving the ability to provide practical and efficient solutions
• Paylocity (preferred)
• NetSuite (required)
• Strong critical thinking skills; use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Resourceful; devise creative solutions to a variety of challenges
• Expert-level skills with Microsoft Excel (required)
• 7 years of accounting experience, with 1+ year of management experience.
• BS or MS in Accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and reporting
• A commitment to do the right things the right way
• Stripe (preferred)
