Accounting Assistant (Part Time)

HOURS: Part Time Monday - Friday 20-24 hours (Flexible)

Location: Oak Ridge, NJ (Department for Persons with Disabilities) (May occasionally require travel to other Agency locations of Catholic Charities in Morris, Passaic and Sussex Counties)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position handles daily and routine bookkeeping tasks on both manual and computerized systems; processing of program vouchers, program cash disbursements, program credit cards, maintains consumer and program accounting files, records and related journals and reports, processing of invoices, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, maintains accounting files, records and related journals and reports. This position also handles documents that are confidential to the operations of the agency. This person must maintain the highest level of confidentiality. The employee will cooperate with the agency's administration and/or Division staff in any inspection or investigation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School/GED. (Some college a plus)
• Knowledge of office machines, aptitude to work with computers and capacity to be trained to take on program's funds accounting responsibilities.
• Minimum of one year experience in bookkeeping.
