Accounting Manager Jobs

The Accounting Manager will be based at our Westlake location and will make occasional visits to other offices within the OTS organization. This candidate should have 5+ years of progressive financial management experience in a manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 3+ years as an Accounting Manager or similar experience. The Accounting Manager is part of Accounting & Finance Team which is accountable for all the Accounting, IT, Procurement, Legal and Human Resources departments of the company. This individual needs to be a hands-on partner to the CFO and Controller.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with the preparation of the organizational and department budgets, including entry into the accounting system.
• Monitor accounting process for internal compliance.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts as required.
• Assist the Controller in the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows.
• Prepare year-end work papers and assist in the annual audit process.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to the general ledger.
• Oversee Bi-Weekly Payroll working with Human Resources
• Understanding of the organization’s programs and funding sources in order to review, advise, and record financial transactions.
• Assist with companywide KPIs & metrics preparation and reporting.
• Perform Banking duties as assigned, Cash management including Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash balance.
• Assist with benefits reconciliation.

Required Education, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience in ERP implementation and upgrades (Nice to Have but not required)
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and other ERP systems. (Oracle NetSuite experience preferred but not required).
• Paycor Payroll System (Preferred but not required)
• Ability to multi-task, perform project work, etc
• Strong Leadership Skillset
• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as an Accounting Manager or equivalent function. (5-10+ years preferred)
• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experienced in multi-site operations and managing team members at different locations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
