Accountant Jobs

We are searching for a detail-focused Accountant for our insurance company client.

This role is for a highly-experienced number cruncher who can handle the full complexity of assumed & ceded insurance accounting. You’ll be preparing & distributing information that is absolutely crucial to the company’s operations. From reviewing bordereaux to preparing cash disbursements, you’ll be a go-to person for our brokers, underwriters, claims department, and others on the accounting team.

What’s The Job?

The core function is analyzing & processing complex treaty reinsurance accounts, including reconciling broker invoices to supporting documentation. In addition:

• Document & resolve account or cash issues.
• Prepare monthly & quarterly reports with variance analysis
• Review premium & loss bordereaux to ensure compliance and identify large losses.
• Assist with internal & external audits
• Work closely with members of the accounting team, along with members of the Actuarial, Underwriting, & Claims departments.

What’s Required?

• Microsoft Excel - pivot tables & v-lookup
• Experience in property & casualty insurance accounting
• 5+ years of insurance accounting experience
• In-depth knowledge of insurance accounting concepts
