$85,000 to $95,000 Portfolio Accountant (Hybrid) - Boston, MA

Our client has 100 employees total in the company now - they added 35 employees this year alone. 20 employees in accounting right now including 3 in the tax group. They're adding a couple of new products this year so they're continuing to grow.

The asset classes that they stay within are industrial, residential, commercial, and retail they have $20/Billion in assets under management.

They are hiring a Portfolio Accountant who will be responsible for the debt, prepare the initial financial package to be reviewed by the Assistant Controller, and pull together the portfolio management package.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on the firm's accounting practices and ensure compliance
• Calculating monthly management fees and preparing forecasts
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and underlying schedules
• Preparing investment acquisition and disposition entries
• Oversee third-party property managers
• Prepare quarterly debt covenants
• Complete quarterly and annual financial close, including:
• Monitoring/reviewing monthly financial reports prepared by third-party property managers for assigned real estate assets, including:

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting is required with 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills REQUIRED; Yardi familiarity a plus
• Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and attention to detail skills
• Public Accounting & Real Estate Accounting experience PREFERRED
