Our client is a fully integrated real estate firm focused on development and investment opportunities in Boston and the surrounding region. They are looking for a Sr. Property Accountant who will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and reporting across a mixed portfolio of various real estate asset classes and development stages.

Responsibilities

• Provide backup and support to the Fund Controller and Assistant Controller as needed.
• Reconcile CAMs, bill backs, and calculate escalations.
• Record journal entries.
• Maintain/reconcile general ledgers and work papers.
• Conduct routine audits. Provide budget to actual variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required
• Superior organizational skills must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience ideally focused on real estate, development, and/or property accounting
