Pricing Actuary Jobs

Implement assumption and methodology changes to pricing models, complying with all model risk management standards, especially documentation and testing requirements

Effectively communicate findings to stakeholders from pricing, product development, risk management and other relevant areas

Collaborate with all stakeholders, including marketing/sales, investment management, valuation, risk management, legal, and operations, to balance the competitiveness, profitability, and risk.

Bachelor’s in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience

4+ years of actuarial experience with an ASA designation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team as well as manage long-term projects

Make recommendations that will facilitate optimal pricing decisions to be made by the Merchandising & Category Management teams.

Experience with development of business requirements for system and report development and design a plus

Participate in interviewing, selecting talent, performance reviews and supervising the teams' day-to-day responsibilities.

Manage day-to-day pricing and promotional insights across multiple categories.

B.S. in Accounting/Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent.

3-5 years’ experience as pricing analyst, and/or equivalent analytical experience required.

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on your analysis

Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis

3+ years of experience in actuarial analysis, preferably in P&C insurance

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge of insurance products and pricing methodologies

Perform experience studies to support the setting/updating/monitoring of actuarial assumptions used for pricing, valuation, business management, capital management, and forecasting purposes

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

Use modern data techniques (Python, R, SQL) to efficiently analyze and model historical experience

Develop expertise with underlying admin system data sources to aid in understanding evolving claims practices and experience history

ASA with 4+ years of strong actuarial work experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required with VBA coding experience

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on your analysis

FCAS preferred, but open to candidates with appropriate knowledge background

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, risk management, or a related field.
