Overview A Diagnostic Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing diagnostic controls systems for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. They are responsible for ensuring that the systems are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective. They must be able to troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise with the systems. Detailed Job Description A Diagnostic Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing diagnostic controls systems for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. They must be able to analyze customer requirements and develop a system that meets those needs. They must be able to design, develop, and implement the system, as well as troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise with the system. They must be able to work with a variety of hardware and software components, such as PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and other industrial automation systems. They must be able to work with a variety of communication protocols, such as Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus. They must be able to develop and maintain documentation for the system, as well as provide technical support to customers. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of industrial automation systems, such as PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and other industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of communication protocols, such as Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus
• Knowledge of diagnostic controls systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with the system

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems, such as PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and other industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of communication protocols, such as Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus
• Knowledge of diagnostic controls systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with the system
• Ability to develop and maintain documentation for the system
• Ability to provide technical support to customers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
