Windows System Administrator – Contractor Jobs

10 years of experience in a professional work environment (18 years if education requirement is not met)

Build and administration of HPE Servers (eg: ProLiant, Synergy), iLO, Firmware BIOS management.

Familiarity with configuration management and monitoring tools (Solarwinds, SCCM, SCOM, BigFix, etc).

AzureStack hyper converged infrastructure (AzureStack HCI) and Azure Cloud Computing and management (not required but prefered)

Experience working with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates and Azure Resource Groups

Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment

Critical thinking skills and Communication skills to manage/solve complex problems and issues independently.

Ability to write detailed procedures, have time management, and prioritize tasks.

Strong communication between all groups including management, peers and “end users”

Manage incidents using our issue tracking systems

Extensive knowledge of Active Directory/Azure AD and Group Policy (ADUC, Sites and Services, etc.)

Understand and have working knowledge of scripting such as command line scripting and PowerShell.

Strong working experience with endpoint management technologies, specifically with Intune.

Extensive experience administering Windows servers.

Extensive experience deploying, updating, and supporting O365 and associated applications.

Strong working experience with Azure Cloud environments

Experience working with Microsoft Autopilot.

Strong proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) and Active Directory management.

Deploy software through the use of technologies such as SCCM/Intune. Conduct remote imaging and configurations.

*This role is On-site in El Segundo, California*

This is a part time position (est.50 hrs per month) for a period of 3 months or 90 days.

Provide assistance with the Windows Server OS Upgrade upgrade three servers from Windows version 2012 R2 to Windows Server version 2019.

Provide the following Oracle Agile OS application functionality assistance

Applying rollback patching techniques associated with Oracle database, Weblogic, Java, and Agile PLM applications

Verification of current Oracle/Agile PLM OS version.

Oracle/Agile PLM administration best practices.

Experience with HP servers and Window work stations and some knowledge of networking equipment (Allied and Telesis switches, access points helpful).

Experience with smart UPS configuration and installation a plus.

Experience undergoing PCI audits on systems, architecture and familiar with tools for monitoring and methods for hardening environment.

Some knowledge of Endpoint security, file integrity monitoring and security industry best practices.

Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Lansweeper.

Understanding and experience with WSUS.

The qualified candidate must possess the following skills and experience:

5+ years of experience in Information Technology

3+ years of experience in the administration and maintenance of Oracle Webcenter preferred

3+ years of experience in VMWare

3+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems

Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

One (1+) year of directly related experience in Systems Administration

IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE) equivalent or higher

Computing environment certification in VMware (VCP-DCV) or Cisco (CCNP-DC) within 60 days of hire

Associate's Degree or 2+ years of directly related experience

Management experience with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.

Experience in deploying, managing, supporting, and installing various software applications.

Advanced network troubleshooting skills, including DHCP, DNS, IP/subnets, VLAN, and routing.

Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, Group Policy and VMWare ESXi

Solid understanding of IT security and data privacy principles.
