Utility Inspector Jobs

This position will perform inspections on building sewer connections, building final and Toho efficiency program inspections (TEP). TEP inspections consist of verifying the irrigation systems, landscaping, appliances and plumbing fixtures for compliance with Toho WA's water conservation program. This is accomplished by processing request from builders and contractors via online submittals, scheduling and Water Authority performing building inspections and coordinating with staff and customers. The position may also substitute for construction inspectors in their absence. Create rejection and/or acceptance reports using templates provided by Toho Water Authority.

• Create reports using provided templates, performing building sewer connections, building finals and Toho efficiency program inspection. TEP inspections consist of verifying the irrigation, landscaping, appliances and plumbing fixtures for compliance with Toho Water Authority requirements. The position is expected to schedule assigned inspections to perform the work timely and efficiently.
• Respond to non-scheduled and emergency inspections as they arise, other assigned duties.
• Review and approve or reject DVD's and flash drives submitted by contractors after they camera the gravity sewer lines for deficiencies

• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.
• This is an entry level position, previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Environmental factors include indoor, flat surface, noise, sitting with occasionally walking and standing.
