Utilities Maintenance Welder Jobs in Texas

Pay Rate up to $38 per hour - depending on experience

Must be knowledgeable in pneumatics, blue/schematic print reading (mechanical/electrical), welding, using shop equipment, and fabrication.

An electrical background with experience in troubleshooting is highly perferred

Demonstrated problem solving and electrical and mechanical skills are also required.

Coordinate with Facilities Manager to prepare all related equipment for regulatory inspections.

Manage contractors to complete equipment repairs and/or preventive maintenance tasks.

Knowledge and skill in basic electrical and mechanical pump systems.

Is innovative and efficient in managing skilled trade staff members and providing hands-on support while supervising a team

Compiles data and writes reports to fulfill District and regulatory requirements.

Perform administrative tasks, such as, ordering and purchasing supplies, and data entry.

Knowledge and ability to work in accordance with Cal OSHA.

Skill and ability to service and maintain pumps, valves, motors, and other water treatment plant equipment.

Completes assigned tasks using the City's asset management program.

Collects filed data and modifies asset records using the City's asset management program.

Exhibit problem-solving skills leading to sound judgment and quality decisions.

Ability to learn and adhere to City policies, procedures, and requirements related to procurement, safety, and operations.

Knowledge of safety practices and procedures applicable to area of assignment.

Ability to apply knowledge of safety standards, best industry practices, and approved procedures relating to the essential functions of the position.
